Com'è la tua relazione con le donne e con il loro corpo?

Faccio una netta distinzione fra vita e lavoro. Il conforto delle modelle è molto importante. Loro devono capire che stanno lavorando in un ambiente sicuro e professionale e che non c'è vulnerabilità anche se stanno lavorando nude. Considero le mie modelle come uguali a me durante il processo creativo. Uso la mia macchina fotografica e luce soffusa affinché possa creare un personaggio da catturare. Il personaggio non è lo stesso della persona che ho dinnanzi..
Trovo il corpo delle donne una risorsa senza fondo impregnato di fascino e da scoprire continuamente. Cerco di evitare le pose standard e scoprire il flusso naturale che ogni fisico mi trasmette. Non mi interessa fotografare le mie modelle nelle pose tipiche delle fantasie maschili. Innanzitutto e soprattutto, voglio fotografare donne reali rappresentando qualcosa di cui non si erano mai accorte prima.

Con quale finalità usi le tue foto?

Sono un fotografo commerciale e lavoro per vari clienti interessati al fascino e all'arte erotica. Tuttavia, nello stesso tempo, cerco di andare oltre i requisiti basici di uno scatto e gli conferisco una dimensione artistica. Con certe modelle, mi compiaccio del rapporto che si crea perchè ci permette di sperimentare ed esplorarci. Sono affascinato dale modelle che scendono nel loro personaggio e si trasformano ad ogni scatto a tal punto che penso di lavorare con persone diverse. Il mio lavoro con le modelle pare a quello che si vede nelle gallerie d'arte e nelle esibizioni on line.

Le tue foto ritraggono delle donne belle in posizioni erotiche e sexy: hai mai avuto una relazione con una di loro?

Sono fortunato a considerare molte delle modelle, amiche. Ho avuto una bellissima relazione con una mia modella che era famosa all'epoca. Questo ha dei vantaggi e degli svantaggi perché l'intimità può limitare le possibilità sul set e sminuire l'immagine della stessa modella. Con l'amicizia, dall'altro campo, la fiducia rende la collaborazione molto più proficua. La modella sa che si può fidare e questo la rende più bella.

Come consideri le donne come un oggetto o qualcosa di più?

Nutro un profondo rispetto per le donne, la loro robustezza, la compassione la loro emotività. Se non trovo una donna interessante dal punto di vista umano, non la fotografo. La Bellezza e il Corpo possono esserci, ma se mancano la luce negli occhi, la testa e le emozioni in una posa, manca tutto. Non ho pazienza con quelle che definisco Barbie.

Perchè le donne vogliono essere fotografate in posizioni erotiche? Perchè vogliono che l'uomo le consideri solo per il sesso?

Il potere erotico ha una connotazione storica sacra, relazionato con il mistero della nascita, la fertilità della terra e il potere della trasformazione cosmica. Il corpo è un involucro esterno per sperimentare e uno stimolo per l'immaginazione, non solo un esercizio di anatomia. Un corpo non può essere esibito se non suscita emozioni.

Quali sono le caratteristiche per cui scegli una donna invece di un'altra?

Non arrivo sul set con un progetto definito e perfetto. Arrivo con un'idea sulla modella e ci esploriamo a vicenda e così faccio emergere le sue qualità durante lo scatto. E' importante essere flessibili e non far si che la tua diventi l'unica meta da perseguire. Amo essere sorprendente e scoprire la magia che c'è prima di me.

Le tue foto sono artistiche perché fai molta attenzione ai colori, ai movimenti del soggetto e alle posizioni: è difficile creare questo background?

I colori forti sono la mia firma. Il colore crea uno spazio energico e un frame dinamico. Sono un appassionato degli sfondi contrastanti perché ho scritto sceneggiature dove contrasto e conflitto creano dramma. Il movimento e la posizione dei soggetti sono come una danza gelida. Così il colore è il background e la modella è una danzatrice e quello che voglio che tu veda è una immagine singolare che deriva dall'esibizione che racconta l'intera storia.

Cosa ti piace del corpo delle donne?

Quello che amo dei corpi delle donne è che non c'è un limite alle opportunità di trovare un'inaspettata bellezza. Non che una parte sia più affascinante e meno importante delle altre ma ogni cosa va assieme quando esce la luce. Amo i contorni e le ombre. Lunghi colli. Braccia sottili. L'angolo che formano le braccia e la piega delle gambe. La curva della schiena. La morbidezza delle labbra e l'intensità dello sguardo. E' stupefacente come la personalità della modella possa essere espressa considerando ogni parte del suo corpo, il modo in cui si sdraia, si siede, si muove, etc. Ogni parte di una modella può essere sensuale e misteriosa e quando le luci e i costumi cambiano si scoprono nuove possibilità.

How is your relationship with women and feminine bodies?

- I draw a very clear distinction between life and work. The comfort of my models is very important. They must feel that they are working in a safe, professional environment and that there is no vulnerability even though they are performing in the nude. I regard my models as my equals in the creative process. I use my camera and lighting while they create a persona for the camera to capture. The persona is not the same as the person.
- I find women's bodies a never-ending source of fascinating and exploration. I try to avoid standard poses and discover the natural flow of each model's physique. I am not interested in photographing dolls and standard versions of typical male fantasies. First and foremost, I want to photograph a real woman but discover a side of her that may not have been seen or photographed before.

For which purpose do you use your photo?

- In many respects I'm a commercial photographer shooting on assignment for various glamour and erotica clients. But at the same time, I try to go beyond the basic requirements of each shoot and bring an artistic dimension to each assignment. With certain models, I enjoy a relationship that allows us to experiment and explore and I'm fascinated by models who evolve and transform with every shoot so completely that you feel that you're working with a different person. My work with models like these is what finds its way into art galleries and online exhibits.

Your photos represent beautiful girl in sexy and erotic position: did you have a relationship with one of them?

- I am fortunate to call many of my models friends. I had a wonderful adventure dating one of my models who was quite famous at the time. This is both a plus and an minus because intimacy can limit the possibilities on the set and keep a model from pushing her boundaries. Wit friendship, on the other hand, the trust makes the collaboration much more comfortable and fruitful. The model knows she can trust you to capture the moments she creates of a singular beauty.

How do you consider the women (like an object or something more)?

- I have a profound respect for women -- their strength, compassion, emotional range. If I don't find a woman interesting as a human being, I do not photograph her. Beautiful as the body may be, I am focused on the light in the eyes and the thought and emotion behind the pose. Like I said, I have no patience with Barbie Dolls.

Why a woman wants to be represented in erotic position? Why they want other people see them only for their own sex?

- woman's erotic power has historical sacred connotations, connected to everything from the mystery of birth to the fertility of the earth and the power of cosmic transformation. The body is a doorway to experience and a stimulus for imagination, not just an exercise in anatomy. To show a body without creating emotion is pointless.

Which are the features with allow you to represent a woman instead than other one?

- I don't come to the set with a perfect plan. I come with an idea that the model and I explore together so her inherent unique qualities emerge during the shoot. It's important to be flexible and not to hold on to your original idea no matter what. I love being surprised and discovering magic as it happens before me.

Your photos are artistic because you paid attention to the colours, the movements of the subject and the position: is it difficult to create this background?

- Strong colours are my signature. Colour creates an energetic space and a dynamic frame. I am very fond of contrasts because I come from writing movies from contrast and conflict creates drama. The movement and the position of the subject is something of a frozen dance. So the colour is the stage and the model is the dancer and what I am showing you is a single image from this performance that hopefully tells you the entire story.

What do you like of women bodies?

- What I love about women's bodies is that there is no limit to the opportunities to find unexpected beauty. It is not that any one part is more important or attractive than the other but how everything comes together when the lights come on. I love contour and shadow. Long necks. Slim arms. The angles where arms and legs fold. The curve of the back. The softness of the lips and the intensity in the eyes. It fascinates me how the model's personality can be expressed in every part of her body, the way she stands, sits, moves, etc. Every part of the model can be sensual and mysterious and when the lights and costumes change you discover new possibilities.
